Open Group Leader Position
The Institute of Human Genetics of Montpellier (IGH) opens a call for applications to a Principal Investigator position in its main areas of interest, namely Genome Dynamics, Genomics, RNA Biology, Computational Biology and AI, Epigenetics, Immunogenetics, Developmental Biology, Cancer and Infectious Diseases. The IGH is one of the best European Institutes in Biology and Biomedical Science. It provides an exciting scientific environment and benefits from core funding of the CNRS and the University of Montpellier. The IGH is located in the biomedical campus Arnaud de Villeneuve, which is connected to the University Hospitals and the Faculty of Medicine. The campus also includes the Institute of Functional Genomics and the Center for Structural Biochemistry, boasting a research area of over 15,000 m2. This excellent scientific environment is supported by BioCampus, a service provider fully equipped with a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities, including Genomics, Proteomics, medium throughput Screening, Imaging, Animal Facilities and high-end instrumentation for Structural Biology and Biophysics. Finally, the campus includes a building called Genopolys that provides opportunities for meeting organization, teaching, training and outreach activities towards the broader society. Selection of candidates will be based on international scientific excellence. Particular attention will be given to innovative, high-risk projects. Selected group leaders will receive lab space and support from the IGH, in addition to assistance in the preparation of applications to calls for grants from French or European agencies.
