Human resources
The Human Resources (HR) department is mainly responsible for hiring new staff, as well as recruiting temporary staff and students. Each year, the department handles and monitors almost 120 new hires or extensions of existing work contracts, and 90 internships. It also has a more general role of monitoring and providing information on applicable HR regulations (public-law contracts, recruitment of non-EU personnel, sick leave, etc.). It is also responsible for campus access authorization.
