Health and safety

The health and safety department ensures compliance with the French labor, health, and environmental codes, guaranteeing staff safety and research continuity. It welcomes newcomers, introduces safety rules (biological, chemical, fire), manages hazardous waste, and monitors regulated equipment (autoclaves, hoods, safety stations). The team liaises with DR13 for legal updates, training requests, and coordinated prevention actions. They annually update the document unique and review safety authorizations (GMOs, radioactivity). This service, led by Robert Orti with Julie Saksouk and Aymeric Chartier, operates under the Director’s responsibility.
