Imaging platform

MRI is a multi-site Imaging Core Facility member of Biocampus (UAR3426), certified ISO 9001-2015 NFX 50-900 and part of the national infrastructure France-BioImaging.
Two MRI facilities, dedicated to optical microscopy and flow cytometry, are located at the IGH. The optical imaging is one of the best equipped facilities of MRI, offering access to high end microscopes: conventional epifluorescence microscopes with enhanced resolution (Apotome or Thunder technologies), confocal microscopes (Zeiss Airyscan and Leica SP8), two-photon microscope (Bruker Ultima2Pplus), and several super resolution systems, including 3D-SIM (OMX), 2D and 3D-STED (Abberior, Expert Line), PALM STORM (OMX, Bruker Vutara VXL). Imaging large cleared samples is also possible (Ultramicroscope Blaze, Miltenyi). Live cell imaging can be performed in widefield mode (Zeiss Observer and Bruker Vutara VXL) or in point scanning or spinning disk confocal (Leica SP8 with resonant scanner, Zeiss Airyscan multiplex mode and NikonTiE2 with Yokogawa W1). A high-end custom-build microscope (OMX-T) provides faster and more sensitive imaging of live samples in wide-field.
Users benefit from the expertise of five dedicated engineers specialized in imaging.
The flow cytometry facility located at IGH provides access to a Novocyte Quanteon cytometer and a Becton Dickinson FACS Melody cell sorter. A dedicated engineer supports users in their analysis.
