Histology platform

The Histology Facility is part of the Montpellier Experimental Histology Network (RHEM), itself integrated within BioCampus. The facility assists users with the histological processing of tissues from both animal and human models. Key equipment includes microtomes, cryostats located in BSL-1 and BSL-2 areas, a vibratome, and a Snapfrost rapid freezing system. User training on this equipment is routinely provided. RHEM-AdV also has specialized expertise in non-toxic tissue clearing using X-Clarity technology, as well as in situ hybridization with RNAscope™, enabling advanced gene expression analysis.

Within this facility, IGH provides two microtomes, a slide drying plate, and a flotation bath. Oversight, maintenance, and user training are managed by Stéphanie Déjardin.
